According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, during the searches, 30 boxes and 10 packages with medicines, some of which cost 5,000 dollars per package in retail trade, were found and seized.
Law enforcers also found stickers with holograms and Qr codes for packaging of falsified medicines. In addition, the defendants were seized cash in foreign currency in the equivalent of more than UAH 1 million, mobile terminals, laptops, bank cards, draft records and vehicles.
The pre-trial investigation of crimes related to counterfeiting of medicines (Article 321-1), their smuggling (Article 305 of the CCU), illegal use of marks for goods and services, brand names (Article 229 of the CCU), as well as Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues (Article 307 of the CCU).
