More than UAH 1bn is envisaged for medicines for the treatment of diabetes and non-diabetes mellitus.
The event discussed the issues of implementation of the system of reimbursement of insulin preparations, universal access to medical services and patient-centeredness in the program of medical guarantees, plans for further implementation of the State Reimbursement Program.
NHSI representatives in their reports highlighted the issue of categorization and new route of a patient with diabetes, contracting of insulin drugs reimbursement program, new pricing model, IT solutions in insulin reimbursement program, etc.
According to the head of the National Health Service of Ukraine, Andriy Vilenskyy, the reimbursement program, under which patients receive medicines for free or with a surcharge, will be expanded in 2021. Its budget will amount to 2.8bn hryvnyas.
