Since the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine, more than 8 million people have fled the country. Among these people are valuable professionals who are unlikely to return. This labor migration, which has become the largest in the history of independent Ukraine, has posed a serious challenge to businesses. However, companies that have taken decisive action and invested in their staff are demonstrating their willingness to fight through the difficult situation.
The editors of the magazine “TOP-100. Ratings of the Largest” magazine together with the expert jury identified 50 companies that continue to be responsible employers and invest in their most valuable asset – people. The assessment took into account a number of criteria, including the importance of veterans’ re-socialization, remuneration and salary system, active investment in corporate education, improvement of staff welfare and application of innovations in HR policy.
Delta Medical not only entered the TOP-5 pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine in this rating, but was also awarded in a special nomination for the Best Mental Health Programs. This nomination recognizes efforts to ensure the psychological and physical well-being of staff, especially in times of war.
To reduce the effects of stress and psychological strain on employees, Delta Medical implements several mental health projects. The working day starts with physical activities such as aerobics, dancing and yoga, and a football match is held every week. In addition, every morning after the nightly shelling, employees are provided with “treats for the brave”. Psychological counseling is provided, general medical check-ups are available, and health insurance is provided for employees and their families. The company is also actively working to prepare its staff for emergencies by conducting training on first aid, safety and proper behavior in case of emergency.
