According to the investigation materials, the director of a private enterprise in the capital, in violation of the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Measures to Stabilize Prices for Medicines and Medical Devices” in force at the time of committing unlawful acts, made deliveries to city and regional hospitals of imported medical equipment (Holter monitoring system and cardiac rehabilitation system) at a price exceeding the maximum markup of 10% to the purchase price of the goods.
The conclusion of the forensic economic expertise confirmed that the state suffered losses totaling 3.5 million hryvnias.
The indictment was sent to the Solomenskiy district court of Kyiv for consideration on the merits.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment from 7 to 12 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and confiscation of property.
Investigative actions were conducted by investigators of the Investigation Department of the Solomenskiy Department of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.
