The chief physician of the hospital “Theophany” Igor Semyonov explained how everything will work now. Anton Gura, a Kiev resident, wrote about it on his social network page. According to the presidential decree No. 10/2020, a number of rules and restrictions are introduced.
Who can be treated in “Theophany”?
Only adult citizens aged 18 years and older will be able to receive treatment. Referral to a hospital will be made by tertiary medical institutions and only if there is no possibility to help at the place of residence or registration. Or due to the lack of necessary equipment for diagnosis or treatment, as well as specialists.
How and who will be referred to Theophany?
There is no answer to this question yet. Now the hospital management has developed an algorithm of interaction and sent it to the Ministry of Health and the State Administration of Affairs for consideration. Within three months the final algorithm of work with patients and medical workers will be developed. The three months will end in April, which means that the new procedure should start working on April 15.
In addition, patients will come to Feofania with all the results of tests, treatment, etc. so that the need for treatment in Feofania was justified.

Who will pay for the treatment?
There will be several models at work. If a patient comes with a referral, they will be treated free of charge. But if funding is available. Otherwise, or in the case of a patient’s initiative to be treated at Theophany, the patient will pay for his/her treatment out of his/her own pocket.
Where should the patient go?
If a patient is going to be treated at Theophany on his/her own, without a doctor’s referral, there is a consultative polyclinic at the hospital, where you can apply and make an appointment. After April 15, the patient will go to his/her physician and get a referral from him/her.
