Starting from September 2023, pharmacists and doctors of Uzbekistan will be required to undergo an online procedure for obtaining a qualification category

Attestations for the qualification category will begin on September 16 this year. The rest of the medical staff will be subject to this innovation on January 1, 2024.

According to the official TG channel of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, a new Center for Assessment of Qualifications of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers has been established in the country. Details In accordance with the decision of the President of June 20, 2023, the Center for the Assessment of Qualifications of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers was established in Uzbekistan, which performs the functions of certification of theoretical knowledge, practical and professional skills of pharmaceutical and medical workers and assignment of qualification categories to them. The main tasks of the center are to assess the qualifications of medical and pharmaceutical workers and assign them qualification categories, introduce modern methods of objective assessment of knowledge, skills and abilities of specialists in this field. The Center should also develop and improve the regulatory framework for certification and qualification categories and ensure its transparency through the introduction of modern information technologies. The Center will participate in the analysis of the current requirements for medical and pharmaceutical workers and the creation of modern qualification requirements and the regulatory framework for their registration.  The system will be launched in Uzbekistan on September 11, 2023 in a test mode and documents of medical and pharmaceutical workers on qualification classification will be accepted only in electronic form. To submit a document, each medical and pharmaceutical worker must register in the Unified Identification System (OneID) at id.egov.uz.
