We are all consumers. We are guaranteed the right to quality, safe, fair advertising that provides the opportunity to make a conscious and competent choice of a product or service.
Thus, according to the State Consumer Service, on July 25, 2023, specialists of the sector of control over advertising, compliance with anti-tobacco legislation and assay control of consumer protection and control over regulated prices of the Main Department of State Consumer Service in Khmelnytsky region conducted raids among business entities that operate in the pharmaceutical market in order to control their compliance with the requirements of the legislation on advertising.
In the course of raids the facts of violation of part 5 of article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising” were established, namely: advertising about price discounts on products, about sale did not contain information about the date of beginning and end of price discounts on products. The relevant business entities will be sent official letters of inquiry for further registration of materials on violation of the requirements of the legislation on advertising with the imposition of penalties.
