Kazakhstan plans to simplify requirements for customs warehouses for storage of medicines

On the portal “Open NAP” for public discussion posted a draft order “On making amendments and additions to the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan from January 27, 2021 № KR DSM-11 “On approval of the rules of labeling and traceability of medicines and labeling of medical devices”. The draft order provides for amendments to paragraph 32, where an addition is made to the formed identification code, namely to the second group of data of the marking code, when forming means of identification, in connection with the technical capabilities of serialization (marking) equipment.

The draft also eliminates the need for customs warehouses to meet the requirements of the Good Distribution Practice standard, and introduces clarifications and additions in connection with the addition of new functionality to the information system for labeling and traceability of goods (IS MPT) for out-of-production re-aggregation.

In addition, the forms of acceptance/transfer certificates, internal transfer certificates, reports and notifications on entry and withdrawal of labeled medicinal products from circulation are being updated in order to bring them in line with the functionality of the IPT IS.
